What a rebate is
A rebate returns a percentage of your turnover (the total amount you bet), usually credited daily or weekly. A 0.8% slot rebate on RM1,000 of slot bets pays RM8.
Rebates are usually paid whether you win or lose. A related offer, cashback, pays a percentage of your net losses instead. Check which one a casino means, because some sites use the words loosely.
Rebate rates differ by game
Casinos usually set a different rate per game type:
- Slots: often the highest rate.
- Live casino: usually lower.
- Sports: usually the lowest, and some casinos exclude it.
The figure Gambelino shows is the headline rate on the casino’s promotion page, which is normally the best rate on offer. Your actual rate depends on what you play.
Rebate or welcome bonus?
| Welcome bonus | Daily rebate | |
|---|---|---|
| When you get it | Once, on your first deposit | Every day or week you play |
| Turnover to withdraw | Often x10 to x30 or more | Often x1, sometimes none |
| Game restrictions | Common | Fewer |
| Best for | Slot players happy to meet turnover | Regular players, live casino and sports |
Some casinos won’t pay rebates while a welcome bonus is active, so read both sets of terms.
Things to check
- Minimum turnover before a rebate is paid.
- Maximum rebate per day or week.
- Turnover on the rebate itself (x1 is common).
- How it’s paid: automatically, or claimed through live chat.
Compare rebate rates on the bonus board, or read how bonuses work.
A rebate is a small discount on betting you were going to do anyway. It isn’t a reason to bet more. See playing responsibly.
